Across disciplines, Mitchell's contribution is to focus analysis, strengthen new ideas, and bridge the gap between technical insight and real-world decisions. "The big-idea guys produce better ideas when he's around – and they execute better, too," said one executive. He is the founder of, his latest project, a think tank focusing on sustainable growth. Mitchell was previously CEO of CHOICE Humanitarian, a non-profit helping the developing world climb out of poverty. He has also worked in e-commerce, design, and management consulting. With John Beck, he co-authored Got Game and DoCoMo, praised in such places as the Boston Globe, Library Journal, and Amazon ("With lessons for all business leaders, in any industry"). A graduate of Harvard College, he has instructed students from undergraduate to post-doctoral level at RAND, Harvard, and the Claremont Colleges.
